Two hundred years ago, the French invented the first bicycle. By the 1960s, bicycles became an important means of transportation for almost every Chinese. At that time, streams of bicycles comprised a beautiful scene on the streets of Chinese cities. Now, long queues of cars cover streets, jamming roads during rush hour and taking over bike lanes, threatening China¨s fifty year-old bicycle culture.
